HOW TO SUBMIT WORK

Submissions to the comics anthology, Threads That Connect Us, are open!

*Deadline extended to FEBURARY 22ND 2020*

We are accepting up to 8 pages of original comics work in any genre– autobio, fantasy, historical, sci fi, etc — that seek to answer the question “What does it mean to be AAPI / an AAPI artist? ”

Comics may be submitted via DropBox or emailed to THREADSTHATCONNECT@GMAIL.COM and must fit the below requirements:

SPECIFICATIONS:

  1. Submissions can be in color or black & white.
  2. Comics should be no more than 8 pages.
  3. Files should be in TIFF format and at least 300 DPI.
    • Color files should be saved in CMYK mode.
    • Black and white files should be in Grayscale mode.
  4. File names should be clear and include correct page numbers.
    • Example: “AwesomeComic_pg1.TIFF”
  5. Please include the title and your name on the first page of your comic.
  6. A brief author bio and 2inx2in author portrait should also be submitted.
  7. Trim of the book trim of the book will be 5.5 in x 8.5 in so the live area is 4.75 in x 8 in. If you want to do full bleed please make sure your document size is 5.75 in x 8.75 in to include 1/8 in of bleed space on all sides. Confused? Download our printer’s helpful template guide:

SUBMISSION DEADLINE EXTENDED TO FEBRUARY 22, 2020

Printing will take place in early April. Most of the revenue will go to printing costs and any extra profit after fulfillment will be given to a charity.
